about

To me, the weirdest song on the album. Don't get me wrong, it belongs on here, but I do think it's a weird one.

In a nutshell, this song was written about my mother in law. My first wife and I had to live with her, and she was not fun, and I'll leave it at that. I feel bad now because she's no longer with us.

My distorted vocals I think were ran through an amp. We tried putting metal guitars through the verses and it ended up sounding shit. So we scrapped it.

The clean part in the middle was fun. Gary did the acoustic guitar, and I got to speak to my mother in law. Then, another track was added, and I just sang what was being spoke about, more or less. Very hard to hear, very hard to hear, but it's there.. I like the swampiness of it. I'm a big fan of synth pads and shit. Really adds to the vibe. And then Gary cranks out that rad ass solo. Such a good boy.

That's it. So much yelling!!

lyrics

Summer is gone and it's starting to rain
Time to inflict me with some more of your pain
The clock is ticking and I have no place to run
So I think about you when the pain goes away
Wanting to leave but then needing to stay
They only listen to the things they want to hear

Bitter
Go back and watch your TV
Bitter
Whatever you do don't fuck with me
Bitter
Go buy me shit then take it back
Bitter
I am convinced you're smoking crack

Wanting to fight about nothing at all
Planning my trip and then laugh when I fall
The stomping kills me but we have no place to run

So I think about you and the pain goes away
Don't ask me to leave when you know what I'll say
This ain't forever and it's never gonna stop

Bitter
Go fucking take it on your friends
Bitter
Your fucking bullshit never ends
Bitter
Get on the couch and watch TV
Bitter
Whatever you do don't fuck with me
